Creative Ways to Reveal a Christmas Gift (Trips, Tickets and Big Surprises)

Some of the best presents don't come in a box: a weekend away, concert tickets, a cooking class, a puppy on the way. The problem is the moment on Christmas morning. A printed confirmation email doesn't feel like much to unwrap. Here's how to make the reveal match the gift!
For a trip
1. A packed mini suitcase. Wrap a small case with things for the destination: sunglasses, a guidebook, a swimsuit.
2. A puzzle of the destination. They only find out where they're going when the last piece goes in.
3. A boarding pass reveal. Send a trip reveal scratch card: they scratch to uncover the destination and dates on their phone. Works just as well if you're not together on Christmas morning.
For tickets
4. A playlist clue. Make a short playlist of the band's songs and ask them to guess.
5. Merch first. Wrap a band T-shirt and put the dates inside.
6. A ticket they scratch. A concert ticket reveal card shows the event, date and seat when they scratch it.
For experiences and vouchers
7. A treasure hunt. Hide clues around the house that end at the voucher or booking.
8. A "coupon book". Several small promises (breakfast in bed, a day out) with the big one last.
9. A digital voucher. If you're giving money towards something, a scratch-off voucher turns "I sent you money" into a moment.
For family far away
Time it. Send the link or parcel so it arrives on Christmas morning their time.
Open together on video. You see the reaction and they don't feel left out.
Keep a small physical gift too if you can post something, even just a card that says "check your phone".
Wording ideas
"Your present is too big for the tree. Scratch to find out."
"Pack a bag. We leave on [date]."
"Merry Christmas! Front row, [month]."
"One more gift... it's not in a box."
