This policy applies to all NylaLand services including our website (nylaland.com), digital scratch card platform, and purchases made through our Etsy shop. All services are owned and operated by iQuality Tech INC. (dba NylaLand), Canada.
What We Collect
To provide our service we collect and store:
- Email address provided at checkout or when signing up for updates
- Your name (optional, provided at checkout)
- Custom text and messages you enter when personalising your scratch card
- Photos you upload for Photo Reveal cards
- Order and purchase history
- Marketing preferences (whether you have opted in to receive offers and updates)
- Technical metadata for security purposes (IP addresses, session IDs, user-agent strings)
How We Use It
- To generate and deliver your unique scratch card link by email
- To send your order confirmation, invoice, and card links
- To send marketing emails if you have opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- To process payments and handle tax compliance
- To respond to support requests
- To prevent abuse and fraud via rate limiting
- We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers
Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Polar, acting as the Merchant of Record.Polar collects and remits applicable taxes globally on these transactions. Your payment card details are never stored on our servers.
Data Storage
Your personal data (email, name, order history) is stored securely in our database hosted on cloud infrastructure in the United States.
Card content (custom text, uploaded photos, scratch card links) is processed and stored by our card generation platform. All card content is automatically deleted 30 days after the card is created.
Payment data is handled entirely by Polar and is never stored on our servers.
App Assets & Media
Our scratch card templates include background designs, animations, and audio elements sourced from royalty-free and licensed third-party providers. These assets are the property of their respective owners or NylaLand. Template elements are permanent parts of the service and are not subject to the 30-day auto-purge — only your personal content (custom text and uploaded photos) is deleted.
30-Day Auto-Purge
Your scratch card builder and viewer links expire 30 days after creation. Custom text and uploaded photos associated with expired cards are permanently deleted from our systems. We do not keep backups of your personal card content after this period.
Marketing Emails
If you opted in at checkout or signup, we may send you offers and updates about new designs. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or visiting nylaland.com/unsubscribe.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails such as order confirmations and card links.
Security
We collect IP addresses, session IDs, and user-agent strings strictly for rate limiting and fraud prevention. All technical logs are automatically purged after 30 days. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate our platform:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Database and authentication services
- Polar — payment processing and tax compliance (Merchant of Record)
- Transactional email delivery service
- Error monitoring and application logging services
- Anonymous visitor analytics
Each service provider processes only the data necessary to perform their function and is bound by appropriate data processing agreements. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
Your Rights
If you are located in Canada, the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions with privacy rights, you may request:
- Access to your personal data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your data
